11/2/07 update
The Nasdaq Biotech Index held up fairly well during the week's market storm but the Charity Contest portfolios were less resilient. At Friday's close, the NBI was up 10.80% YTD (vs. up 11.58% YTD a week ago), while the Charity Contest portfolios' median was down -9.67% YTD (vs. down -7.50% YTD a week ago).
At week's end just 8 of the 31 Contest portfolios were in the black YTD, with only TECHNET's portfolio (up 24.8% YTD) beating the NBI.
