Readings on core inflation have improved modestly this year, but recent increases in energy and commodity prices, among other factors, may put renewed upward pressure on inflation. In this context, the Committee judges that some inflation risks remain, and it will continue to monitor inflation developments carefully.

Another way to say "inflationary" is "upward pressure on inflation."

I wonder if Bernanke has become aware some radio talk show hosts did not understand that higher oil prices are inflationary so he is being more clear these days so they can correct their mistakes and not have their followers running around spouting incorrect economic theory.
