My impression is that there is always a very strong trend towards ethical behavior in the US that more-or-less balances out and often defeats unethical behavior.

Thus, I doubt we'll ever see legal organ sales here.

I actually perceive an ever growing trend towards people in various industries and occupations examining themselves and others similarly situated to see how they can behave more ethically and self-police their members better.

Not to say that there isn't always a countervailing trend towards corruption.

Obviously, killing another human being in order to harvest that person's organs is monsterous. Capitalism in China seems to be running amok, in that these hospitals seem to be operating completely within the law there.

Way beyond "organlegging."
