the folks in the US in the 1990's giving their opinions on Iraq in the 1990's, has nothing to do with the likelihood of democracy in pre Saddam Iraq. I see that you think that was evidence, but I think you have a problem there.

So your evidence for the "likelihood of democracy" in preSaddam Iraq was the puppet parliament before Saddam (mentioned in my article...) Saddam had a parliament too. Is that also evidence of the likelihood of democracy in Iraq? If not, why not? Some puppet parliaments are better than others?

What I said was that I have seen Zip Zero Nada to substantiate your opinion about the likelihood of a democratic Iraq BEFORE Saddam took control of it.

"Please provide ANY proof of that statement, because I've seen zero zip and nada to substantiate what you just said."

I've still seen nothing to substantiate your claim. What I'm looking for is someone, other than you, saying that Democracy BEFORE Saddam came to power was "likely" in Iraq. Heck I'll even accept anything saying that it was ONE OF the likely outcomes in pre Saddam Iraq. Think you can find anything like that? The fact that there might have been many parties in the puppet parliaments is not evidence. Just as Saddam's parliament isn't any "evidence" of democracy.
