I have some second hand experience with this... people who are qualified are turned away or put on a two year waiting list. How about some detail on how or why they were turned down? I know people who have gotten into various programs easily and timely just by doing the paperwork. I know someone who just qualified for Medicaid to enter a nursing home. This was just a few months ago. And I know only marginally disabled people collecting SSI and Medicaid. One qualified based on carpal tunnel syndrome and diabetes, for heaven's sake. I know of no one who couldn't get into a program.
