Bank of Montreal was happy to open a savings account for me a couple of year ago which has worked out quite nicely. We are going up over Thanksgiving and will enjoy using the ATM card locally with those nicely appreciated loonies. They only required full identification; ie. passport, ss card, driver license. As long as you don't want to move money in and out often it works out well.
