I agree that any Theocracy eventually turns into the *WORST* form of repressive, stultifying and corrupt form of government known to main.

Worse even then the so-called 'cult-of-personality' types of Dictatorships like we have seen in North Korea, Cuba and elsewhere.

Worse because the Theocracies can hang on to power for centuries and centuries --- while the Dictatorships built upon personality cults usually crumble and fall within a few generations.
