Sun Micro posts profit as revenue advances Mon Nov 5, 2007 4:11pm EST SAN FRANCISCO, Nov 5 (Reuters) - Sun Microsystems Inc (JAVA.O: Quote, Profile, Research) reported on Monday a quarterly profit compared with a year-earlier loss amid strong sales of its high-end computers. Net income in the company's fiscal first quarter was $89 million, or 3 cents per share, compared with a net loss of $56 million, or 2 cents per share, in the year-earlier period. Revenue advanced to $3.22 billion from $3.19 billion. Analysts, on average, had expected revenue of $3.26 billion, according to Reuters Estimates. reuters.com Groan.
