People can always find some excuse or another to ignore recommendations they don't want to consider. Regardless of the motivation, including some off-the-books recommendations and not others is going to result in a skewed analysis.

"He doesn't call his newsletter a stock newsletter or fund newsletters as others are."

That is a REALLY LAME EXCUSE for leaving out recommendations that you want to ignore!

"This was the only other market timing recommendation he made between December 31, 1999 and March 2003, and it specifically referenced using cash that one would have by following his timing recommendation in the Jan 2000 newsletter."

I believe the time frame being referred to in the post I replied to went all the way back to 1988 or so. There have been both ETFs (NOT just QQQQ) and individual stocks that he recommended at various times, and timing was a factor in the success or failure of ALL of them!

As for where people got the cash, that is irrelevant. (Notice that Brinker's detractors NEVER raise the issue of where subscribers got the cash when they want to criticize any of Brinker's other off-the-books recommendations!)

I'm surprised, David. I thought you felt it important to maintain at least the appearance of objectivity to potential subscribers.
