Gem, I would add that guys on the right have not made it easy for Ed to adjust. The attempt to Swiftboat all vietnam vets who later were against the war, is reprehensible. In an article supporting Obama, Andrew Sullivan says that the vietnam war is still being fought today. I would agree but the lines have changed a bit. You got your right wing nut/neoncons blaming the left and the media for all US setbacks since WW2. You got the left wing nuts blaming america for everything bad that has occurred in the world to the point where some praise folks like chavez, ahmadijad, assad, etc while escoriating american allies in pakistan, afganistan, iraq, israel, Blair. etc. Neither side has it right.
