I can just see MAssachusetts locking up everyone without insurance in a modern version of a debtors prison.

One thing I learned having lived as long as I have is that trends don't have straight lines but rather cycles. Something reaches a point and folks say "whoa." People are accepting a lot of nannyism, way too much IMO. But I believe there is a point past which they will not go. Like a flock of birds or school of fish they change direction.

I do not believe that this country will ever tolerate forcing individuals in that way, at least not for more time than it takes to sink in what we're doing. I acknowledge that's just my personal belief but this country has been going to the proverbial place in a handbasket many times and pulled back from the brink. I believe that it's in our nature to do so, belatedly, but eventually.
