That doesn't mean he's always right. If highly educated and/or honored people can't be wrong, than how can Sachs criticize Hayek, when Hayek won the Nobel price for economics?

You can find a highly educated and/or respected and/or honored person to support just about any argument except perhaps the totally crazy (like "the earth is flat", "the moon is made of green cheese" etc.) The fact that an expert makes an argument doesn't mean we should feel at all compelled to agree with the argument.
