Believe it or not, people ride bikes here in SLC in the dead of winter with 2 feet of snow on the ground! (they ride in the plowed but icy streets) Part of it is just craziness and part of it is poverty.

I suspect its more the latter than the former.........riding on icy streets with the cold wind blowing off the mts can't be much fun.
