Revenue has to come from somewhere, but spending, and thus revenue, doesn't have to be nearly as high as it is now. As for the two wars they take up only a relatively small fraction of our current government spending. Its nearly a trillon dollars. Its like wasting money on a trip to Vegas with not any of the fun. A trillion dollars could have gone a lone way in getting us independent of oil. It could have built several new hospitals or millions of homes; replaced numerous bridges that are in danger of collapsing; built hundreds of light rail lines; created many new schools. Instead, its been pissed away on a war of silliness.
