The Perma Bear speaks (From today's DBC news)

"I think today's European interest-rate hikes are a very significant development," said Michael Metz, chief investment strategist at Oppenheimer & Co. Inc. "You've had an extraordinarily aggressive environment of monetary ease for the last five years. I think that's over. And as a result, I think you're going to see some upward pressure on interest rates, some diminishing of liquidity that's
been flooding into the financial markets, and downward pressure on valuations. So, to me, it's a major significant watershed development. In my opinion, it's no coincidence the Bundesbank acts
within 24 hours after Mr. Greenspan makes his remarks."
