I haven't given it much thought, but you think there are areas of conflict between the 2, that one has to chose one or the other? In the case of Robertson endorsing Julie, it's pretty obvious that Julie's life is an example of what Robertson preaches against. Other guys are certainly closer to Robertson on abortion and gays, key platforms of the religious right. You say "patriotism" is the reason Robertson is endorsing Julie over the religious right agenda? I say bunk. I guess we have to agree to disagree.
