Maybe we can discuss OT here and create a csco news only thread. As many times i put info i find here just for my future ref. I think there is dell news only thread where discussions dont take place just info.

That's actually a very good idea, Sonki, because there is so much valuable OT information here already. A new thread for OT would require a person to go back and forth into the indefinite future, especially when referring, or replying, to a much earlier posting [the advantage of being able to search a thread]. CSCO news becomes outdated a _lot_ faster than OT discussion information.

Unlike the DELL news-only thread idea, though, how about having news and discussion of that news over there? Basically, that would turn this into an OT thread--but the people who do the OT postings are here already.

The person who started this thread has his status as, "Dormant," not having posted since 2000. I can drop someone in SI admin. and find out if he just has not posted, but has logged in. Some of us found out about the status of someone who had not posted in ages that we were concerned about (here, just lurking, according to SI Dave). One way or another, the introductory posting could be changed and a pointer to a new, CSCO news and discussion thread made, with that introductory paragraph pointing people to this for fruitful, OT discussion.

Thoughts?
