<If SUNW demonstrated real-world Java-platform based functionality things would undoubtedly change. Instead, they file a silly lawsuit. Talk, talk, talk, talk, talk. My money's on the people delivering product.>

Thank you brother. Finally, someone who admits the truth. The following is a link to the most functional java implementation that I have ever witnessed. I hepled beta test it a couple a months ago.

Pros:
1.) It conveys a lot of useful data.
2.) It is Java so it supposed to be cross platform, write once run anywhere.
3.) It is available throught the web.

Cons/Caveats:
1.) It is not write once run anywhere. As a matter of fact, it won't run on IE 3 or 4.

2.) IT is slow as hell on a 28.8 modem. It is only marginally faster on 500k cable modem or T1/lan connection.

3.) You have to download the interface and the data every time you connect to the server for a new session, a pain to say the least.

4.) I implemented a very similar solution in Excel/VBA/ACCESS/SQL Server which is much faster and stores both the app logic and the data locally so there are no unnecessary repeat trips to the server for additional scenarios or sensitivity, only data refreshes or requests for new data.
