re: Its very different than an insurance payment. Your forced to pay, and than after you pay you have no contractual obligation for performance from the government's end, you just have a program which the government could legally cancel at any time.

You have the full faith and credit of the US government. I've had my homeowners insurance canceled twice within the last 4 ears.

re: Taking away the program and taking away the tax are separate items, their are not intertwined in such a way as to make one impossible without doing the other.

BS. In the real world, if they took away SS they certainly would have to cancel the SS tax. You may like to look at the "infinite possibilities" in your arguments but try to deal with reality.

re: Its non-discretionary, using the term of art involved in government spending, where any payments set by law to automatically renew unless congress changes the law are considered something other than discretionary, but because congress has the power to change laws it does indeed still have discretion over these payments.

Only at it's extreme peril. Discretionary is changed every single year. Big difference... and you know it. Don't be obtuse.

re: Why don't you support a dedicated tax for the wars? It would certainly increase transparency. It might even result in lower taxes, a favorite of yours.

Wars are temporary. I'd rather have more stability in tax systems instead of constant change.

BS. You just like the wars because you like the neos. You mistake them for Republicans. And you buy the BS that Republicans are somehow more fiscally responsible, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

Wake up kid. You live in a country that has been majorly F'ed up by the Bush admin, and you will be paying for the rest of your life. A lot of decent men have been President... and led to incremental progress. This low life frat boy and his neo buddies undid most if not all that progress.

You can nuance yourself to death and argue for the sake of ideological argument until your fingers ware out from striking the keyboard, but it won't change the facts.

With whats happening in the world frankly I'm sick of listening to your crap and the crap from your other apologist buddies on the fringe right. You might be better off parroting Ron Paul... at least he's a real libertarian, not a phony Republican/Neo.
