What is with all these strikes by artistes!
WHen the planes don't fly, people notice. When the opera doesn't go up, or Leno doesn't do his monologue..... will the world end? And wasn't there just a strike on Broadway by the techies?
It's all very interesting.
My younger son (starving actor/writer) is out in LA. He reports that the industry is shutting down. The film he's currently doing extra work on was picketed yesterday and couldn't work. His agents (acting and literary) called and said they couldn't do anything right now; you can't submit or sell scripts, and the shows aren't casting. All the poor little peons... I guess Ammo is like a baggage handler, lowest of the low. No one cares that he is barely surviving.

I suppose these are the cracks that show up in our society where the CEOs have gotten so disgustingly rich on the backs of the workers, only these workers are a whole lot more educated and verbal and talented.
