Those are all good reasons why the stock fell, but I'd say the real reason the stock fell yesterday and will fall again today is because he expressed concern about "lumpy" enterprise spending and concern that revenues from banks were drastically lower. It was the first time in a long while that Chambers explicitly stated that the economy is hurting Cisco. The upside is that Cisco is so well-diversified that their performance was still excellent for a company that size. But cautious forecasting may put a lid on the stock price for awhile until the economic clouds dissipate.

Ah well. I was really hoping for a more upbeat forecast, but we didn't get it.
