Oh, Sumz, it is so sad. These kids are gonna be so messed up; like a facter of 10 more than the kids in Nam. Longer tours of duty, everybody in-country is suspect, every object in the road a possible bomb, and so many troops are from the Guard, who probably don't have the psych training, limited as it is, that the military gets. It's a wonder any of them come home same.
One of the guys who worked for me at the VA was a medic in Nam. He said it was 5 years before he could drive over a paper bag in the road. Once, while sleeping, a thunder storm broke out, and he grabbed his wife and rolled off the bed, pulling her on top of him, cuz he thought she was his flak jacket.
