If oil goes to $200+, the 'peak' in 'peak oil' will probably be a bit lower and flatter and the tail a bit longer than predicted.

Are you saying that with a falling dollar the US will price themselves out of the energy market?

What do you think about the debt of the US?

The inability of of Germany to repay the debt due to WW1 reparations seems to have contributed to a loss of faith in the Mark and the subsequent hyperinflation.That was before the Nazi's came to power.
Is the US debt something one can still repay in a reasonable time frame or is that irrelevant for the position of the dollar?
