wrong John, in 4 years FSLR will be significantly cheaper than conventional power. Today it is .15 away from parity $1 per renewable watt. Shortly it will have achieved parity. It could be that we have solar grid parity right now since I suspect grid prices are up since the $1 figure.

I think the Bush administration is full of guys like you. Its a "bury head in sand- status quo is all there is" mentality. Thats not what this country is built on and whenever we get attitudes like yours in power the country falls apart. This oil shock is killing us. We should be THROWING money at the FSLRs of the world to produce solar panels for every utility in the country, since it is CHEAPER to do business this way.

First Solar's average production cost dropped 17 percent to $1.15 per watt in the third quarter from $1.39 in the second quarter as it increased output, Chief Financial Officer Jens Meyerhoff said yesterday on a conference call with analysts and investors. The cost will be cut by up to 50 percent by 2012.
