As much as it pains me to AGREE with Tim - at one time, it would have been political suicide for pols to spend the SS surplus as general revenue, but somehow, now they do and it's just business as usual. If you remember back to when it first occurred, there were a few pols pointing out the "crime", but, the vast majority of both parties were just saying, "Nothing to see here, let's just move along.."
