There isn't a sentence in that article that I don't agree with! The boomer generation started from 1946 through 1964.
Not all of these folks were violently anti-everything their parents, grandparents, and ancestors farther back stood for, but many many were! Look at the murders of King, RFK, Kent State, the race riots of LA, and just for the heck of it riots, the flower children go to Woodstock....multiple children with multiple partners, marriage tossed out the window for many, unless of course it was for same sex, manners passe', civility ditto, violence, graphic sex, foul language in our media and movies, etc etc etc...
Look at our "movie stars" today for instance....Who can we admire today as a person, certainly if they were born in those years. Look at many of the candidates for President and those who are in our Congress...How old are they - when were they born?
We can find multiple examples if we aren't diligent in whom we chose to be our leaders, our civilization will fall. It will have no moral character. |
