Dv is a great source for the MVP. It is MJPEG like and is full resoultion. (720x480) when DVx is on your pc, you will be able take advantage of the high rez source (the better the source, the better the MPEG). Until then, you can now take all of your favorite video clips, movie clips, clips from VCD (from a vcd player) and make your own highlight move for your disc drive, zip, or burn your own video cd movie in vcd format. ( the later makes the most sense due to download time from zip and disc space of mpeg on the hard drive)
VCD format means you can just put the cd in the cd rom or dvd rom drive and use vcr like controls from a software vcd player available with win 95 these days (formater is included with most MVP editing packaging. Or, just read the files of the cd like any other data.

I Film Edit, is included with a La Vision dazzle for edititing MPEG clips and stringing them together in an easy to use software package.
