Yeah but the steam boiler itself was heavy, and the fuel supply would have either been relatively heavy or only enough for short trips. And by 1924 you could get a Model T for 1/8th the price en.wikipedia.org Hmm maybe the fuel wouldn't be quite so heavy. I was thinking coal, but apparently they mostly burnt kerosene.
