real war protects the homeland. So Korea was a fake war? Tell that to the 36,516 Americans killed, the millions of total military and civilian killed or wounded in the war, and the 50 million South Koreans who today live in freedom rather than under the heel of Kim Jong-il. The war for the S. Koreans was very real....their stake in it was very real, But for the US, it was a fake war. The manufactured fear back then was that the domino effect would determine world order and that the communists would take over. Back then, we started wars over a game.......we have matured since then. The Iraqi war is this generation's Korean war. It seems that during the last 60 years we manage to have one of these fake wars for each generation......to remind us of what it means to be an American........that the fight for freedom will never end so long as there are profits to be made.
