Politically they are really committing suicide. What can they be thinking?

I think the GOP is hell bent on committing suicide. There is no logical explanation for their behavior......I think its bad thinking gone to the extreme. Clearly, they are out of touch with the mainstream. And those in the party who are in touch are mostly ignored. Its a very strange dynamic to watch unfold.
