Mq, You gotta know I left time out on purpose :O)

there wasn't a concept of capitalism, Sure. From that standpoint stealing stuff from non capitalist folks that do not share a common world view is OK ? You are assuming that capitalism is the root of all good ;O) I know that is what you think. I don't agree that's all.

you are wrong about property acquisition. As to wrong... If someone signs away land not comprehending the ramifications of what it will do to their future and way of life (ie. destroy it) they were robbed.. The rest is just semantics.. I'm not moaning about the big bad Brits or Yanks here.. and sure the natives in all cases were no better... that is the way it goes.. I just think it's funny to hear moaning when the shoe is on the other foot.. It's like Canada US free trade and the lumber dispute.. or even better like the west moaning and chastising the Chinese about Tibet..

other than conquest Of course not... I still believe folks is folks.. That's actually part of my point. You think stealing (a rose by any other name) is OK for your system from other systems but not for other systems from yours simply because you don't happen to see the value in those other systems. All rather subjective and we could argue for ever and not get anywhere.. I just wanted to point out the subjectiveness of your take.

Man has not changed. Circumstances almost always change. That is the part BTW that those that scoff at 'this time it's different' never take into account.. That is why so many bears missed the entire tech run... Even Warren Buffet missed it.. Anyway I digress here..

In Recent memory The Germans did it. The Japanese did. The British did, all the Europeans did...
