BS, it's the philosophical principle underpinning capitalism which is good and is the basis of all good: <From that standpoint stealing stuff from non capitalist folks that do not share a common world view is OK ? You are assuming that capitalism is the root of all good >

That principle is voluntary exchange of value rather than conquest and confiscation.

If Islamic Jihad's principle is that conquering infidels is fine, then of course one can't deal with such people on principles of capitalism. The lowest common denominator defines the relationship. So a mosquito has to be dealt with on the basis of its ethical and moral values, which is that one swats it, or poisons it. An invader should be dealt with by equivalent confiscation of their property, such as their body parts. There is even a principle involved and it's called tit for tat. Google no doubt has lots of references. Sure enough: abc.net.au

<If someone signs away land not comprehending the ramifications of what it will do to their future and way of life (ie. destroy it) they were robbed.. >

Whine, whine, whine. Seller's remorse. Buyer's remorse. That's life in the adult world. If they were not defrauded, then they made their choice. Maybe you think brown people are mental defectives? We are now hearing how all the mental defectives took out huge loans, sometimes by lying about their incomes, to buy houses at high prices. The lenders were supposed to tell the borrowers what they could and couldn't do as though the borrowers were moronic children.

I bought Globalstar shares not knowing what it would do to my future, namely lose me a fortune. It had very unfortunate ramifications on my future. Bad luck for me. Lucky for those who sold me the shares.

Man has changed, woman has too. They used to be much more like chimps. Many are now developing ethics and morals. They have cognitive processes and philosophies. People have changed and are changing [not the individuals but the composition of the gene pool and the philosophical foundations expressed by individuals within it].

Sure, stealing from Saddam is fine. Stealing from Stalin is good. Exterminating all sorts of opposition is desirable and a good thing. When Germans take people to extermination camps, it's a good idea to exterminate Germans. When Japanese maraud and murder en masse, it's a good idea to give atomic bomb demonstrations so they adjust their thinking to include the possibility that they will NOT be able to simply maraud and murder their way across the planet.

To compare the British with the Japanese and the Germans is unreasonable.

The British bought land in New Zealand from Maoris and Maoris became equal citizens with British, with transactions conducted on a voluntary exchange of value basis. When Japan went "shopping" across Asia, they were like Hongi Hika - shopping was done by conquest and murder. teara.govt.nz

You are apparently unaware that the Germans did NOT acquire Jewish property, or other, by purchasing at the seller's price. They used murder and extermination. Have a look in Google under "Holocaust" and you might be able to see a subtle difference between the Germans and Jews and British and Maoris.

I'm surprised [really, since you are Canadian] that you don't know the difference between the British Empire, the Third Reich and the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere.

The USA empire is the biggest in human history, but it's done largely on a voluntary basis. I learned, worked, saved and gave all my savings to the USA empire. They did NOT make me do it. They attracted me by protecting private property rather than stealing it all - they do take quite a BIG bite out of it, but are far less rapacious than Helen Clark and Coven as well as which they encourage vast creativity such as Microsoft, Google, Oracle, Exxon, Ford [a little rusty these days], QUALCOMM, Globalstar etc. In NZ we have the electric fence and number 8 fencing wire as claims to fame [neither of which were actually invented here].

I feel like breaking into a rendition of "The Star Spangled Banner" [though rendition has got a bad name lately].
