James, The FTC investigation was triggered by several thousand complaints to the government by unhappy consumers. It seems that Digiphone just did not work for the majority of people through it's first 4 itterations. The full duplex driver that they touted, caused havoc on people's machines, and eliminated all of the other functions of people's SB sound cards. They have since removed the driver from the current version of the software. Does this tell you something? These is a facts. Now I just wonder what political favors were called in to end the investigation. This might not be the last of this issue. There are still some very angry people out there. I think there may be some potential for class action suits to be brought in the future! You might be interested to know that there is also an ongoing investigation by the SEC into stock price manipulation by Danny Wettriech and Camelot. Hearings are just getting ready to be held! Hopefully the SEC will do a better job than the FTC. Camelot, has MR-CDROM stores, which according to my information have been losing money!! They are trying to break into the ISP market by charging $2.50 per hour...want to bet on this one? When I called to inquire about this service, I had to go through 4 reps and a supervisor, send e-mail to their sales department, before I found someone that knew what was going on. I think it is easy to see that for a service that has supposedly been available since the begining of June, there must not have been much action for this level of ignorance to prevail on the parts of people that are supposedly there to sell the service! Almost everything else they are into is some where way down the road. My guess is that they will never get that far.
