This ETrade situation is really annoying. Down 50% today with talk of bankruptcy. So what happens to all my puts if accounts get frozen for months? Why couldn't these guys just stick to their knitting? Why on earth did they need to get into mortgages at the 11'th hour? I am reasonably happy with their service - was even thinking of setting up a futures trading account, and also trying out their new global trading platform.
