skeeter,

I am very familiar with Warren's politics and think he's open to harsh criticism on many issues.

For example, he's very much in favor of the "death tax", "estate tax" or whatever you want to call it.

However, when it came time to determine where all his wealth would go when he passed, he didn't give it to the government. He gave most of it to Bill Gates and avoided taxes.

When asked why, he said because Bill Gates would get more value for a $1 than either he or government could and he knew that the money would be directed in ways that reflected his personal values.

That's exactly the case I have been making!!!!

Think about that.

He's for the estate tax for everyone else, but not for himself.

It's OK for all his money to eventually reflect "his personal values" via Gates instead of society's values via the government. But it's not OK for me to leave all my money to my poor cousins, nephews, nieces, etc... when I die because I believe in giving it to the people I love, that share my values, that have been kind to me in life etc... He wants a chunk of mine to go to the government or to places I don't want it to go.

I call BS on Buffett.
