The point is that it isn't a cut overall. The bill as a whole is not one of tax relief, it keeps the overall tax burden at least as high.

Yeah, so?

If Bush cut income taxes 10% but your property tax or sales tax goes up, it's not a net cut. You think taxes, as a whole, went down during the Bush admin? Think again.

Every tax is a penalty and a subsidy. Every variation changes that balance. The economy is in a constant state of manipulation. You pick your side.

Saying you are against taxes is like saying you are against rainy weekends. Fact is you are only against rainy weekends if they fall on you. Rain is important...
