OK, is justified. As is raising taxes on dividend and cap gains.


How about raising property taxes on homes that are not a primary residence? This would hit the right group (the rich who can afford more than one home) and would discourage owning homes for investment or leisure thus lowering the cost of a home in general and making them more affordable to non-home owners. Poor people can have a dividend or a capital gain, but only the rich can afford two homes.
