IMO, contrary to what jim_p thinks, this is a good buying opportunity.

My WAGs: more pain is ahead. Financials have bottomed, S&P is close to a bottom while NDX is not, gold and commodities (especially oil) will be significantly lower before the next Fed meeting.

No way to tell whether we've seen the lows, but my plan is to raise some cash at the close. Not interested in shorting.
