Is longevity the only measure in the effectiveness of health care expenditures

Longevity IMO is not only not useful but inherently misleading. People use it because it's the only thing they have and because it is successful in snowing people. If we could compare identical twins or maybe even close family members who were raised under different systems, that might tell us something. There are simply way too many factors involved in longevity to identify the discrete effect of health care systems. That piece that Tim posted the other day that attempted to back out some of the other longevity variables was a constructive effort but still short of the mark.
