The lesson that the public can be duped on a regular
basis, again and again... about once every ten years.


The public isn't being duped. They aren't in this market. They're still trying to get out of the RE market.

No one is being duped. What you see in these swings is the mass of traders all trying to fleece the "public", but since the public isn't present except through institutions which merely operate like traders, and lose like traders, the traders are merely fleecing each other. You could say that all these pseudo hot shots out playing the market based on nonsense like sentiment, TA, chart reading, and gut feeling, are the dupes because they're missing a great bull by never holding. So maybe it's only you who is being duped with this comment about the dupers and dupees. They're all dopes. Don't be a dope by playing that game. What game? The game all the traders play where they assume the other guy, the "public" guy, is stupid.
