however eks idea of setting up a tie-in to a supersafe money market account seems like a good one to me. --- treasury money fund through Vanguard (Total Assets $19.7 Billion) and electronically linked (both wire and ACH authorization)

me: if things get that bad, I will sell shares and write checks from my brokerage accounts into my bank. then I will stock up on drugs and alcohol.
