QS has already given you the answer, JDN, but should you run into a similar problem in the future, try getting a quote over at finance.yahoo.com. When stock symbols change for something, Yahoo! gives the new stock symbols.

For someone getting a quote for JAVA today, this shows:

'JAVA' is no longer valid. It has changed to JAVAD

Edit: Take a look at the little chart beside the quote. It does not yet reflect the 1:4 split:

finance.yahoo.com
