The worst is really yet to come. They really can't afford the dollar to drop anymore. If they cut again, the following will be required to prop the dollar:

Concerted selling of massive amounts of gold from several central banks.
Forex market intervention by buying dollars ONLY against the EURO, pound and Franc.
Aggressive long end curve buying (I think they are already doing this).

These actions would prop the dollar but increase inflation everywhere else....I think we are at the point where we are going to have to take our fiscal medicine.
