"We can only hope that some day non-fighting Americans will come to appreciate the pearls of war experience those of us who fought those wars possess, and not disregard them without due consideration. I am certain you and I share the notion that all the wisdom regarding liberty and freedom in America and the world's wars is not locked inside Manhattan Island, San Francisco, DuPont Circle, the halls of Congress, nor The Whitehouse." If only you knew how to return the respect you earned that those in Manhattan, SF et al have offered you. But no you and your war buddies are the ones who live in the cocoon. Your words to ed are nice. You should listen to ed more and you should stop the name calling for those who also served who disagree with you like kerry, mccain, cleland and jack jacobs and i am sure many others. You and O'Neil are not the only heroes out there.
