Rangers 3 - Oilers 3

Buddy, did you guys out east get to see the game on TV or sattelite last night?

For my money, the Oilers and Islanders are 2 of the most exciting teams to watch right now. Too bad the Oilers will never get to keep this young talented team together as the richer teams (i.e. Rangers, Flyers) buy up all the good talent even if it means the team doesn't have a chance of turning a profit.

Hockey salaries are way out of touch (like all sports). I really don't think it is fair that teams like the Rangers can spend 10-15 million a year more than the average team on salaries to try and buy a winner.

Do you really think that Beukaboom and Graves are worth over 2 million each?

Oh well, I'll enjoy my Oilers while they last. We'll always have 5 cups to look back fondly of. Nobody anywhere can say that over the last 20 years except the City of Champions (Edmonton).

We're hovering around zero (32F) and snow is staying on the ground tonight. Must be hockey season.
