I have thought for years of starting a high-quality food shop "Maurice's Nuts" which would include FRESH, tree-ripened, properly fed, walnuts, brazil nuts, almonds, cashews, eggs, fruit, vegetables. But it would be more of a hobby and a personal food supply. Though I would NOT be surprised if it made $millions as there are still some people who grew up in an era when food was actually food and not pathetic flavoured cardboard.

Anyone can plant corn. Dealing with software, servers and service is more tricky and higher paid.
Pay rates in NZ are from US$50 to $150 an hour for geeks. Prices are rising due to many job offers. Planting and picking corn doesn't earn that kind of money. Bananas don't grow well here [but perhaps with glass-houses ... hmmmm.... I do like a tree-ripened banana!!]
