Hi Lynn,

you don't have to respond and I don't care if you do. But Cisco did not miss by a penny. Some news articles said they did miss and other news articles said they beat by a penny. So it is all just opinion.

The fact is that Cisco reported 17% revenue growth and 34% EPS growth. That is stellar by any measure for a company this size. The market reaction which pushed Cisco stock price down was because Chambers mentioned enterprise and financial sector weakness. That confirmed the market's fears about the financial sector woes and weighed heavily on Cisco's stock price. Cisco's missing or beating by a penny had nothing to do with the stock price reaction. That is my opinion of what happened.

As far as Bush bashing or not, maybe I should have left the Bush bashing comment out of my post, since I know this thread is heavily neo-con. I'm actually a Republican, I just don't like this President, but that's irrelevant. The article I posted was still relevant to any serious long term investor and whether you like it or not, the value of the dollar and health of our economy does have a great impact on Cisco's stock price.
