OT - There shouldn't be a need if they have no mortgage exposure. Fidelity and Scottrade have 0. Ameritrade has some, but will probably be fine as evidenced by the stock price of late despite E*Trade's sinking into the abyss.

Going to try Fidelity. Have heard good things and they're willing to match Scottrade's prices. Moving over the whole extended family so you get more clout.
