it was the west that created iraq, much the same way it created yugoslavia under tito. But that doesnt mean that these dictators should last forever. Whether we had a good plan or not, now we have the reality of the old iraq being broken and at this time the US has fixed it about as much as we can. So with all due respect to the powell doctrine, its time to start to depart and pass this over to the iraqis, their neighbors, the UN and perhaps some european states with ties there.
