Since not all taxes are federal income taxes, it's not hard to postulate that the richest 10-15% of Americans pay half of ALL the taxes. I don't know. You have... Corporate taxes Excise taxes on all sorts of goods and services Registration taxes on cars and many, many other items Real estate taxes Tolls Sales tax All sorts of business taxes Passport fees <anyone feel free to add to this list I'm sure I'm missing at least 10 tax classes>
